WHO I AM
I am first and foremost a Mother. I have four children, three of which are grown and are living their own lives. The one still at home is a college student. If for the rest of my life I accomplish nothing else, I will know that I have raised these 4 children to be upstanding citizens. I have two dogs, many fish, and two turtles. I love all animals.
Second only to my family is my photography. My camera goes everywhere I go. I love the way it feels in my hands! It's comfortable there and it makes me happy. Capturing special moments is what I love doing more than almost anything else.
I haven't been to any famous schools or been lucky enough to have studied under any famous photographers (although I continue to learn from them via the internet). There is no fancy degree hanging on my wall declaring that I'm a 'certified professional photographer'. All I have is almost 30 years of looking at the world through a small viewfinder. I learned on a 35mm camera but have recently gone digital.
I let my pictures define who I am. Expecting everyone to like them wouldn't be realistic. Daddy used to tell me that you can't please all of the people all of the time, and he was so right. MY MISSION
It is my belief that everyone should have portraits of their family on their walls. In this economy, that's hard to do. Don't think I'm immune to financial hardship. When we come out of this slump our economy is currently in I plan on opening a studio but until then I must operate from my home. I know this may put some of you off but rest assured, I am a professional photographer with professional equipment. The only thing you will find missing is a huge commercial studio.
